As we went into the final day of the storm chase, we decided to progressively make our way back towards Dallas airport. On our way, we met with some fellow storm chasers, little knowing what blind luck would bring...
We started off casually chatting away in the sunshine, when we noticed the gradual build up of cloud. The spots of rain brought an end to our conversation and we decided to move slightly further south, away from the developing system. To our surprise, we noticed that the system was developing into a super-cell and we were in the perfect position to view it.
So we did what any storm chaser would do....we went after the storm! The storm itself moved south east and on several occasions had tornado warnings attached. Again, nothing was produced but it was a fitting end to the chase. At nightfall, we gave up and headed back north for home...
